Programming & Events for Transfer & Returning Students

The Transfer & Returning Student Resource Center (TRSRC) offers a wide variety of programming, workshops, and events for prospective and current transfer & returning students each term. We partner with departments and resource centers across campus focusing on skill-building, community, and resource knowledge.

Spring Events 2025

Ice Cream and Crafts! (as part of Bring Your Kids to Campus Day)

Friday, April 4th | 12-2pm

TRSRC Office - FMH 342

Join the Transfer & Returning Student Resource Center (TRSRC), University Career Center, and Future Connect Program at PSU for a hands-on event for BYKCD! Kids can color on ice-cream themed coloring pages, design with pipe cleaners, and enjoy a popsicle or ice cream bar!

TRSRC Kindness Rocks! (as part of Spring into Wellbeing Week)

Thursday, April 10th | 2-4pm

TRSRC Office - FMH 342

Spring into Kindness with the Transfer & Returning Student Resource Center (TRSRC) as part of Spring into Wellbeing week at PSU. Bring a rock from your favorite place, from the river to the desert, and come paint with us! We will have extra rocks available and kindness cards to fill out and give to someone in your community. Snacks will be provided.

Transfer Appreciation Student Climb Night

Tuesday, April 22nd | 4:30-6pm

PSU Climb Center - Academic & Student Recreation Center (ASRC)

Join the Outdoor Program, the TRSRC, and other transfer students at the Campus Rec for an intro to the Climbing Center. Drop in anytime during the event, or arrive at 4pm for intros, Ice-Breakers, and overview of the space.

Join the TRSRC Returning Adult Student affinity group to connect and build community with folks with similar experiences. Get acquainted with and discuss resources on campus to navigate academics, work/school/life balance, and more.

First Generation Student Affinity Group

Tuesdays starting May 6th | 1-2pm

Facilitated by Future Connect Peer Mentors, the First Generation Student Affinity Group will meet on Tuesdays from 1-2pm. This is a space for connection and community for all first generation transfer students at PSU! Snacks will be provided.

TRSRC Virtual Values

The TRSRC offers a variety of virtual events specifically designed for prospective and current transfer students, as well as students returning to education after a break. All are invited and welcome! We ask that anyone accessing our TRSRC events agree to adhere to our TRSRC Virtual Values.

The TRSRC is committed to maintaining virtual spaces that are inclusive and respectful to all participants.
Be mindful of others in the room and leave space for others to talk and share.
PSU’s substance policy remains present during virtual events. You will be removed from the event for any substance use while accessing this tool.
We do not permit any kind of nudity during TRSRC events. You will be removed for any nudity.
Recording is not permitted in the TRSRC’s virtual events unless the host specifies that the event will be recorded.
