General Liability Claims
General liability claims usually involve personal property damage, injury, or related medical expenses to third parties, such as the public, students, or visitors. As of July 1, 2013, general liability claims now have a deductible of $5,000, for which PSU departments are responsible for paying. Third parties who incur property damage, injury, or related medical expenses at the fault of the University must contact PSU's Office of Risk Management. Portland State University departments are responsible for reporting all incidents involving injuries or property damage to members of the general public, visitors, students, or others while on university property. Contact Risk Management immediately to report an incident.
