Our Services

We bring stakeholder groups together, assess conflicts and opportunities, and facilitate discussions that encourage participants to explore each other’s viewpoints and seek agreement on public issues, such as how to protect a salmon stream, build a highway, transform health care, manage development, and more.

We help stakeholder groups implement community projects in ways that support the state’s sustainability goals. We help communities leverage funding sources for implementing their project, and we secure commitments from participating stakeholders who agree to contribute resources to make the project a reality.

We are a statewide platform—online and in person—for civic engagement that can be used at any scale (state, regional, and local). We conduct public surveys, citizen assemblies, and community gatherings. We believe that Oregonians have a lot to offer their state and their communities.

Our online Collaborative Governance Graduate Certificate, Urban-Rural Ambassador's Institute, and graduate internships prepare students for a world in which collaboration is key to successful public policy.

We provide customized training in collaborative governance and conflict resolution for any organization or team seeking to enhance their effectiveness by using collaborative decision-making approaches within their organization or with outside stakeholders.

We research collaborative governance projects and issues to inform work in the field. Our research partners span the globe. We welcome new research partnerships.
