Calendar Public Agency of Travel Planning for the Overwhelmed is an interactive art installation created by Simeen Anjum, a social practice artist and international student in the U.S. The project plays with the complexities of visa navigation, borders, and immigration systems through her own interpretation of global travel. At its core is ‘Permission to Leave’, a fictional exit visa that requires individuals to apply for permission if they want to travel outside their country for any reason. By mimicking real-world bureaucracy, the project invites reflection on the often absurd and unequal structures governing global mobility. An exhibition by Simeen Anjum, MFA candidate in the Art and Social Practice.November 10–21, 2025Opening Reception: November 12, 4–6 pmAdditional EventsNovember 14, 5-6 pmNovember 19, 5:15-6:30 pmArt Workshops for PSU's International Student CommunityNovember 18, 5:15-7 pmConversation with Dr. Jennifer Ruth, Professor in PSU's School of FilmNovember 21, 12:30-1:30 pmPassport Making WorkshopGallery Hours and AccessMonday-Thursday, 9 am–5 pm; other times by arrangement.Access is by your PSU ID card.
