Join cult filmmaker, Jack Perez (SOME GUY WHO KILLS PEOPLE, AMERICA’S DEADLIEST HOME VIDEO, XENA: WARRIOR PRINCESS, WILD THINGS 2, MEGA SHARK VS GIANT OCTOPUS) for an uncensored, behind-the-scenes tour of writing and directing pop-culture genre movies - the joys, agonies, crazy personalities and endless problem-solving that occur when ideas are big, and the money isn’t.

Jack also discusses the work and methods of indie mavericks who inspired him and paved the way - Romero, Raimi, Waters, Jack Starrett and Joe Dante.

This class will be taught by director-writer Jack Perez, a professor of film at USC, PCC, CCC, The NY Film Academy, and The Academy of Art in SF. He is also the creator of the popular YouTube Premium Channel, CINEFIX. Jack currently lives in Portland with his wife and 4 cats.

Class will be held in room LH115 in Lincoln Hall, at 1620 SW Park Ave, Portland, OR 97201 on the Portland State University Campus.

PSU Students are free with valid student ID! Present ID at door for admission - no ticket needed.
