It's that time of the year when School of Film faculty evaluate submissions to determine the best film studies essays of the year. We want to read your best work!
ELIGIBILITY:
To be eligible, essays must be written by a current film major or minor for a PSU FILM class. Close-reading, analysis essays, research essays of any length, as well as video essays will be considered. The winner(s) will be awarded cash prizes. Winning entries will be presented on the 2023 School of Film Spring Showcase and Awards website launching in early June.
TO SUBMIT:
• Deadline: May 21st (Sunday) at 11:59 PM
• Email attachment to Dr. Ben Mendelsohn (bam34@pdx.edu)
• Limit one entry per student
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION TO INCLUDE IN YOUR EMAIL SUBMISSION:
• the quarter and class that your essay was written for
• the name of the instructor/professor of the course
• format: Microsoft Word document with your name removed in the document (No PDF).
• If you have the original assignment prompt for the essay, please include that as well.
