Dr. Ito is an international macroeconomist who focuses on issues of financial liberalization, financial development, macroeconomic interlinkages between countries, and East Asian Economics. Dr. Ito has also been conducting research on the Great East Japan Disaster of March 2011 and interacts with government officials, non-profit organizations, and other relevant groups in the disaster-stricken areas.
