Leader Coaching for Public Organizations

The Center for Public Service partners with a cadre of professionals who have both decades of coaching experience and knowledge of the unique challenges faced by leaders in public organizations. Some of the characteristics of our coaching services are:

Breadth of Capacity: CPS serves the needs of different categories of leaders.  Assignments have included preparing high potential individuals for soon to be vacated positions, supporting recently appointed leaders with their “stretch” responsibilities and assisting strategic leaders to reframe major issues and approaches.

Customized Development Plans: The objectives and scope of an assignment are arrived at through interviews and assessments. Target levels of achievement are defined based on the priority needs of the organization, leader and community.

Governance for Transformational times: As you would expect from the Hatfield School, our coaches are astute thought leaders on both the challenges and approaches appropriate for leadership in the 21st Century.

Flexible process and scheduling: Timing, location, accessibility are all tailored to meet the needs of the client and their organization.

Our Leader Coaching initiative is led by Terry O'Connor, an experienced coach and organizational leader with over thirty-five years of experience.
