  1. Elizabeth Almer, Joleen Kremin, and Mary Marshall, Business faculty, and Kathy Rupley, Associate Dean of Faculty & Research in the School of Business, co-authored a paper titled “The ChatGPT Artificial Intelligence Chatbot: How Well Does It Answer Accounting Assessment Questions” that was published in Issues in Accounting Education. The paper won the 2024 Notable Contribution to the Literature Award by the AIS Section of the American Accounting Association. 
  2. Ginny Garcia-Alexander and Melissa Thompson, Sociology faculty, co-authored a paper titled “Judgment, Shame, and Coercion: The Criminal Legal System and Reproductive Autonomy” in Health & Justice. 
  3. Shirley A. Jackson, Sociology faculty, served as a 2024 National Science Foundation (NSF) Reviewer.  
  4. Daniel Jaffee, Sociology faculty, had an excerpt of his book Unbottled published on Jan. 4 in Columbia Insight.
  5. Daniel Jaffee, Sociology faculty, had an excerpt of his research on bottled water appear in PSU News.
  6. Byeongdon Oh, Sociology postdoc 2020-2022, and Ned Tilbrook and Dara Shifrer, Sociology faculty, published an article titled “Shifting Tides: The Evolution of Racial Inequality in Higher Education from the 1980s through the 2010s” in Socius.
  7. Will Parnell, Curriculum and Instruction faculty, co-authored a journal article, “Polyphonic Storying with Human and More-Than-Human Co-Collaborators” published in the Sage journal Contemporary Issues in Early Childhood.
