Natalie Cholula (Sociology Ph.D.) presented her first-authored report, “Unjust and Unsafe: The Eviction Experiences of Latine Immigrant and Farmworker Tenants in Oregon” at a webinar with Fair Housing Council of Oregon in October 2024. Natalie's co-authored report, “Fight, Flight, Freeze: How Access to Support Shapes Tenant Responses to Eviction in Multnomah County," was featured in an Axios news brief in June 2024. Jenna DePasquale (Sociology Ph.D.) presented "#Clandestini: How Italy's Center-Right Parliamentary Coalition Frames the Migrant Crisis on Twitter" as part of the "Right-Wing Politics in Comparative Perspective" panel at the annual meeting of the American Sociological Association in August 2024. Alley Henrici (Communication MS) and Lillian Mantel (Communication MS) presented "Navigating weight stigma: An exploration of weight-related communication apprehension," at the annual conference of the National Communication Association in October 2024. Charlie Huxley (History MA) presented “ "Present in the Papers, Missing from the Land: Lower Memaloose Island, Fictional Indians, and White Tourism in the Late-Nineteenth and Early Twentieth-Century Columbia River Gorge” at the Cascadia Environmental History Conference in September 2024.
