Professional Development & Training Programs

Custom programs for Professionals:

These programs can last from one week to three months depending on the need of our partner organization. Programs usually fit one of two standard types:

Typical Custom Programs

English Language & Focus Topic Programs
- Morning English Communication class
- Afternoon special "Focus" topic classes / workshops with related excursions / activities
Focus Topic Programs
- All classes and activities are related to a single theme and may or may not include English language instruction as needed
Visits / Excursion only Programs
- No English classes but rather topic specific workshops, lectures and site visits
- Cultural and fun visits to explore Portland

All types of Professional Development Programs:

Can be any length
Could include homestays, campus dormitories or hotel stay for the housing arrangements

Planning a custom program checklist:

We ask for at least 6 months notice to develop a new program in order to provide your group with an excellent experience.
Please let us know which type of program and focus areas you are interested in.
Preferred dates or times of year and any special request for accommodation type.

Project-based Training

Teachers work in a small team on their final project!

Our professional programs highlight lectures and visits from working experts in the United States. These experts often have visitors work in teams to show how they can use new theories at home.

Volunteering at the Senior Home
