High School Programs

Custom programs for High Schools:

These programs typically last 1-4 weeks and can include dorm stay, homestay, or staying at a hotel. These programs usually fit one of four standard types:

Typical Custom Programs

  1. English Language & American Culture Programs
    • Morning English Communication and American Culture classes
    • Afternoon cultural / fun activities
  2. English Language & Focus Topic Programs
    • Morning English Communication class
    • Afternoon special "Focus" topic class with related excursions / activities
  3. Focus Topic Programs
    • All classes and activities are related to a single theme and may or may not include English language instruction as needed
  4. Visits / Excursions only Programs
    • No English classes but rather topic specific lectures and site visits
    • Cultural and fun activities to explore Portland

All types of High School Programs:

  • Can be 2-4 weeks long
  • Could include homestays, campus dormitories or hotel stay for the housing arrangements

Planning a custom program checklist:

  1. We ask for at least 6 months notice to develop a new program in order to provide your group with an excellent experience.
  2. We recommend a 15 student minimum for new programs. Programs with less than 15 participants are cost prohibitive for partners.
  3. Please answer this short questionnaire to request a quote or a consultation.
  4. Preferred dates or times of year and any special request for accommodation type.
