The Annual Lorry I. Lokey Lecture: A Conversation with Photographer Loli Kantor

The Harold Schnitzer Family Program in Judaic Studies at Portland State University presents the 2015 Lorry I. Lokey Lecture, "Beyond the Forest: Jewish Presence in Eastern Europe, A Conversation with Photographer Loli Kantor". Visiting artist Loli Kantor will speak on the renewal of Jewish life in contemporary Eastern Europe, followed by a conversation between Kantor and Lorry I. Lokey Associate Professor of Judaic Studies Natan Meir.

An exhibition of work from Kantor's newly-published book, Beyond the Forest: Jewish Presence in Eastern Europe, 2004-2012, will be displayed in the MK Gallery of the Art Building, April 20-30, weekdays from 10 am to 5 pm. Please join us for a special evening reception before the lecture on Tuesday, April 28, from 5-7 pm. Refreshments will be served at the evening reception.
