The Alumni Network

During the summer of 2020, Cohort 3 Scholars graduated from BUILD EXITO and were welcomed to the Alumni Network! The Alumni Network is being developed as a hub of resources for graduated Scholars.

Our Student Training Model

BUILD EXITO aims to identify students early in their undergraduate college career and engage them in finding solutions to today's major health problems. Students get the skills and support they need to pursue research careers in a variety of disciplines.

EXITO takes students through a research training program where they receive mentoring, gain hands-on research experience, participate in an integrated professional development curriculum, and engage in a supportive community.

Research Experience for Our Scholars

Research Learning Communities are a centerpiece of the BUILD EXITO program. In long-term mentored internships (during program years 2 and 3), Scholars gain research experience while making meaningful contributions to externally-funded, faculty-directed studies across a range of health-related fields (e.g., biomedical, behavioral, social, clinical, and translational research).

Published Scholar Research

BUILD EXITO Scholars have published research conducted with their Research Learning Communities!

Funded Travel Experiences

In addition to research experience, we provide our Scholars financial support to attend conferences as guests or presenters!
