2022 LEO Survey

About the 2022 LEO Survey

Fielded from June 21 to September 22, 2022, the 2022 iteration of the Local Election Official (LEO) Survey provided a vital platform for local election officials to be heard in local, regional, national, and international discussions about electoral integrity, administration, and reform.

Administered as a collaboration between the Elections & Voting Information Center (EVIC) at Reed College and survey partner SSRS, the 2022 survey data elevates the voices of LEOs across the country. Drawing from the thoughtful responses of these officials, this data serves as a vital resource for election administrators, policymakers, and researchers to better understand local election administration and the dedicated public servants who deliver democracy.

The principal investigators for the project are Paul Gronke, PhD (Reed College) and Paul Manson, PhD (Portland State University).

The 2022 EVIC LEO Survey was generously supported by Democracy Fund.
