  1. Sahan Dissanayake, economics faculty, J. Forrest Williams, economics faculty, Rebecca McClain, National Policy Consensus Center director of research, and Melissa Haeffner, environmental science and management faculty and principal investigator, received a two-year $299,605 NOAA Adaptation Science grant from National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration grant to study “Trust and Community Acceptance of Coastal Flood Mitigation.
  2. Ellie Harmon, computer science, Veronica Hotton, university studies and principle investigator, Robert Liebman, sociology faculty emeritus, Michael Lupro, university studies faculty, and Wu-chang Feng, computer science faculty, received a $99,021 grant for the GenCyber Teacher Program Portland State University.
  3. Alissa Hartig, applied linguistics faculty, and Jack Barbera, chemistry faculty, were awarded a three-year $299,945 grant from the National Science Foundation for an interdisciplinary project titled “Understanding the Role of Student Engagement in Active Learning Outcomes in General Chemistry through Discourse Analysis.” 
  4. Hyeyoung Woo, sociology faculty, received a $270,000 three-year grant to study “The Making of Women in Korea” from the Academy of Korean Studies.
