What can art teach us about the brain, memory, and resilience?
Join this interdisciplinary faculty-led program in Valparaíso and Viña del Mar, Chile, and explore the connections between neuroscience, art, memory, and culture. Students will visit neuroscience labs, museums, galleries, and cultural sites while learning from local researchers and artists.
Through hands-on experiences, students will explore topics including sensation and perception, memory, trauma, stress, and resilience, while creating art journals and traditional Chilean arpilleras.
Led by PSU faculty Bill Griesar and Jeff Leake, this program is open to students from all majors and is especially suited for those interested in neuroscience, psychology, biology, art, education, public health, and the humanities.
