Diversity at PSU

Students in the Park Blocks

At Portland State, equity is not the work of a single office — it is a shared responsibility across our entire campus. From our cultural resource centers to campus-wide initiatives, we are working together to ensure that Oregon’s most diverse university is a place where every student and employee truly belongs and can thrive.

We are evolving our administrative structures to better serve our community. The portfolio of student support services that existed within Global Diversity and Inclusion, including multicultural student services and student retention programs, moved to the Office of Academic Affairs; the Office of Equity and Compliance transitioned to a newly created Office of Equity, Audit & Compliance; and a search is underway for a new, university-wide Executive Director of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion, who will provide leadership, vision, and strategic direction for enhancing the innovativeness, participation and success of all members of our PSU community.
