The Cultural Resource Centers have a variety of leadership opportunities for students.

Cultural Resource Centers Student Receptionist (General description)

Cultural Resource Centers Receptionists are Federal Work Study students with excellent customer service skills who assist with the day-to-day responsibilities in the Pacific Islander, Asian & Asian American Student Center, La Casa Latina Student Center, Multicultural Student Center, and Pan-African Commons. This is a great opportunity to develop leadership skills and connect with diverse communities at PSU. Cultural Resource Centers Student Program and Events Lead (General description)

The Cultural Resource Centers (CRCs) have various programming assistant positions to support the programming efforts of one of the 6 CRC programs. Team members work in collaboration with CRC staff and stakeholders to plan, promote and deliver programs, services and events that fulfill the mission of the CRCs and support student-centered communities at Portland State University. EDUCATIONAL LEADERSHIP SERVICE AWARD (ELSA) POSITION DESCRIPTION

You do not have FWS or cannot work hourly, you still can contribute to the Cultural Resource Centers as a student Leader and be eligible for a $600 Scholarship (Educational Leadership Service Award) each term. In order to be eligible you must have at least a 2.5 GPA and cannot be receiving another ELSA.

VOLUNTEER POSITION DESCRIPTIONS

Interested in becoming a part of the Cultural Resource Center team? We need student volunteers to fill in seats on the Cultural Resource Center Advisory Board for every academic year. The expected commitment for the position is roughly 3 hours per term and is an unpaid leadership position.

Cultural Resource Centers Advisory Council

The Cultural Resource Centers Advisory Council (CRCAC) is composed of two student Co-Chairs, six student members, two staff/faculty members, and two community members. Members work collaboratively to incorporate student voice to develop a strategic plan that guides the vision and furthers the mission of the CRCs. This is a great opportunity to develop leadership skills and connect with diverse communities at PSU and assist in developing ideas that contribute to the student experience. This is an unpaid position.CRC Advisory Council Job Description
