URISE is a two-year program that provides: a long-term research internship at OHSU; faculty mentoring: research skills workshops; professional development seminars; monthly stipend (~$1200/mo); 50% tuition remission; summer research travel and conference travel funding. The goal of URISE is to prepare undergraduates for competitive applications to post-graduate opportunities and, ultimately, successful scientific careers. URISE CandidatesIdeal candidates for URISE are current students (with two more years of study at PSU) who demonstrate an eagerness to pursue scientific research and have potential to excel with our program supports and opportunities. Students already considering graduate school are encouraged to apply as well as those who want to explore a possible research career through hands-on experience with a research team.
