• Indeed.com — Indeed is a search engine that pulls job listings from "job boards, staffing firms, associations and company career pages."

Nonprofit Sector

Use the following resources to identify nonprofit organizations by name, issue areas/mission, and/or location. Navigate to the organization website to search for current openings.

• Guidestar.org — Search database of 2.5 million US-based nonprofit organizations. Search by keyword, location, cause area/NTEE Classification System.
• Idealist.org — Search organizations database by using the following filters: organization type, issue areas, and/or location.
• 211 Info — Community Resources Online for Oregon and Southwest Washington. Search by category keyword, service keyword, or agency/program name. 

Private Sector

Use the following resources to identify businesses. Navigate to the company website to search for current openings.

• 100 Best Companies to Work for in Oregon — From OregonBusiness.com.
• Business Journal Book of Lists — FREE ACCESS through PSU Handshake.
• ReferenceUSA — Access Reference USA through the Millar Library.  Job seekers can use this data to conduct "research about industries and companies. Find executives, corporate families and company descriptions." Look up North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code. Look up Standard Industrial Classification System (SIC) code.

• Visit the Career Center @ Portland State University on LinkedIn for career development and internship/job search information.
• CampusPoint — Creates "programs that bring college students, recent college graduates, and employers together...offering access to dozens of traditional and temporary/internship positions not commonly made available to students and recent graduates." CampusPoint focuses on the Portland area as well as the Seattle/Puget Sound region. CampusPoint also has a list of employer profiles that is searchable alphabetically as well as by category.
