Trickery, Laughter, and Love: PSU Students Perform Comic Japanese Kyôgen Plays & Dance
Presented in English

Kyôgen plays are topsy-turvy parodies of life in medieval Japan. Wives lord over their husbands, commoners outfox samurai, "powerful" wizards are defeated by tricky yôkai, supposedly holy priests sneak off to the red-light district. Talented and energetic PSU students bring this wacky world to life, wearing splendid costumes.

Taught and directed by Professor Larry Kominz
Costumes by Toshimi Tanaka
Including the World Premiere of a newly written Kyôgen play by alumna Emily Hodgson.

All Seats are reserved.
