Join the Institute on Aging for this workshop intended for faculty,  gerontology students and student climate justice leaders, SALC auditors (welcome even if you're not auditing a class this term), and older adults from the Portland community. Anyone who is interested in intergenerational engagement and solutions is welcome.

So, what’s age got to do with it?

Because when our kids and grandkids ask us what we did about climate change, we need to have a simple, true answer: our best - Mick Smyer, Founder and CEO of Growing Greener

People 50+ are often faulted for the threat of global warming and climate change. Your generation caused this whole mess is a message that is sometimes communicated. And headlines such as climate change is speeding towards catastrophe can add tension and anxiety.

What should we do? Growing Greener workshops help us take steps, moving people from anxiety to action on climate change.
