How can I finance my CEPE program? Is financial aid available?
Courses at CEPE are non-credit, and therefore not available for federal financial aid. However, sometimes third parties, such as WorkSource Oregon or students' employers, will provide funding. A list of Worksource Centers can be found here. Discounts may be available, and some programs may have payment plans.

Are there any discounts available?
There are a variety of discounts available, including an early bird discount if you register for a course 30 days before a class start. More information can be found on our discounts page here.
Is there a cost for materials and books?
In most cases, all required materials are provided for CEPE courses. The cost varies per certificate and course and includes electronic course materials, however, required or recommended books are listed on the respective course description pages.
Can I audit classes?
Audits are not allowed for non-credit courses; students need to register and pay for course fees.
How can my organization pay for my courses?
You can pay online if you have a credit card from your organization. Paying with a check or purchase order? I'm a PSU employee; does the staff fee privilege extend to CEPE courses?
CEPE offers a 50% staff discount for PSU employees .5 FTE or higher. Registration for a CEPE course by staff or faculty will be on a space-available basis. PSU employees should submit this Non-Credit PSU Employee form to learn@pdx.edu. This discount on noncredit courses cannot be transferred to spouses or dependents. How do I use my WorkSource or AmeriCorps award to pay for a course?
WorkSource funds can be used for CEPE courses; please contact our Non-Credit Registration department at learn@pdx.edu or call 503.725.4184 for details on the process.
CEPE also accepts AmeriCorps awards for our non-credit courses. Students will need to log into their AmeriCorps account and submit a payment request for each course fee to be paid to Portland State University. Students will then email learn@pdx.edu a copy of their Education Award Payment Request(s) and course selections. The registration will be finalized internally after PSU confirms the award with our Financial Aid Office.
Can the G.I. Bill or other military funding be used for a course?
Per the US Department of Veterans Affairs, the G.I. Bill cannot be used toward non-credit courses.
