Multicultural Retention Services offers four different first-year Retention Programs to incoming PSU students. Each program is uniquely designed to enrich and connect students with a diverse community at PSU. The programs assist new students in their transition to PSU, while building a multicultural campus community essential to student success. Furthermore, each program provides financial support for the first academic year.
As a participant in this program, students will build strong relationships with general advisors and peer mentors. Students will develop a strong cultural and academic identity, and become familiar with PSU resources to enhance their transition to PSU. All four programs assist students in fully understanding the academic college expectations and the value of developing a diverse academic network. The programming, mentoring, and support provided by these programs, will assist students in building a foundation that will result in continued success beyond the first year and ultimately lead to graduation.
