The Holocaust: two-credit summer course runs July 12-22, 2021
This new summer course is offered by the Harold Schnitzer Family Program in Judaic Studies in collaboration with the PSU History Department and Conflict Resolution as part of the Summer Institute of PSU's Holocaust and Genocide Studies Project.
This course will introduce students to the Nazi-planned and -executed genocide of European Jewry known as the Holocaust. Topics includes the German and European contexts for the rise of Nazism; antisemitism and its links to Nazi ideology and policy; European Jewry in the interwar period; the "Final Solution"; resistance and collaboration.
