Join International & Global Studies and the Institute for Asian Studies for a talk with UNESCO Chair on Community Radio, Dr. Kanchan Malik!

Community radio is a significant independent media movement that began about two decades ago in South Asia rendering the media ecology in the region more pluralistic and diverse. Join us to learn about the role community radio plays in an increasingly globalized media environment, and how various countries in South Asia formulate policies that enabled the emergence of this third sector of broadcasting.
