JOIN US FOR KICKSTART WEEKEND: COMMUNITY EDITION

Kick-off your entrepreneurial journey with a fun, 2 day immersive workshop to bring your ideas to life!

Join us at the PSU Center for Entrepreneurship for an fun exploration on how to build community, with a special focus on Human Centered Design, the Lean Startup Canvas, and Storytelling.

Participants will be working with a team of fellow students, paired with mentors from the Portland startup community, including PSU faculty and staff, to experience innovation in action, and grow your entrepreneurial acumen.

Through hands-on interactive exercises, participants will practice:

-Problem Validation & Ideation

-Customer Discovery

-Rapid Prototyping

-Lean Canvas Modeling

-Imaginative Co-Working

-Effective Storytelling

The workshop will culminate in a mini pitch competition, where teams will present their ideas to a panel of judges for feedback. Students will benefit from peer to peer learning, professional mentorship, gain insight into the innovation process, and develop the confidence and competence to apply their new skills in our upcoming 10 week Program & Pitch Competition: the Cleantech Challenge and Everyday Entrepreneurs (taking place in the 2026 winter term).

ELIGIBILITY: Kickstart Weekend is open to current PSU undergraduate, graduate students, and recently graduated alumni.

DATES:

Friday, November 7th: 1pm - 4pm (Orientation)
Saturday, November 8th: 9am - 5pm (Day 1)
Sunday, November 9th: 9am - 3pm (Day 2)
Sunday, November 9th: 3pm - 5pm (Reception w/ apps and drinks)

Lunch will be provided on Saturday and Sunday
