Avoiding Registration Problems
Be aware of deadlines! Start early. The application process can take up to three business days. The classes you take will affect the Drop/Withdrawal deadlines and may require you to register more than once during the year. See your school brochure or check online for important dates.
The Email address you choose matters. Access to your PSU account and transcripts are tied to your email address, so remember:
- Use the email address that you check most frequently. Important information and reminders will be sent to you throughout the term.
- Check your spam and trash if you notice you are not receiving emails from us.
- Remember which email you used!
- Some schools restrict emails from outside entities, including PSU. Choosing a non-school email address will solve this issue.
Your PSU account password (Odin) expires every 6 months. To reset it, visit oam.pdx.edu or call the OIT Helpdesk at 503-725-HELP (4357).
Financial Aid/GPA Waivers
Financial Aid – The tuition discount is triggered by uploading a verification document (e.g. the Challenge Financial Aid Form, a copy of your Free/Reduced Lunch letter, etc.) Do not begin this process without the necessary documents. No refunds will be processed after payment is made.
GPA Waivers – If your GPA is below 3.0, upload your high school transcripts with your overall high school GPA visible for review. Submitting a transcript without a visible GPA will delay your registration.
Payment
Student Payment – Registration is not complete until you have submitted payment. A payment link will be emailed to you and must be accessed via your PSU Odin login (username and password). Others cannot access the payment link without your username and password and the Challenge Program can only share account information with you.
School Payment – If your school will be paying tuition on your behalf, you still must complete the registration process to the point of payment before the registration deadline.
