John Hall, Economics faculty, attended the annual World Social Science Association Meeting and presented the paper: “Thorstein Veblen's ‘Common Man’ and Friedrich Nietzsche’s ‘Last Man” from April 13-15 in Tempe, Arizona. Maurice Hamington, Philosophy and Women, Gender, and Sexuality Studies faculty, presented “Care Ethics and Social Science Research” April 13 for the Department of Humanities and Social Sciences of the Birla Institute of Technology and Science in Goa, India. Sarah Newlands and Michelle Swinehart, University Studies faculty, presented “Work of Art: Springboard for Inquiry,” April 14 at the Foundations in Art: Theory and Education 2023 conference. J.J.P.
