Website Support

The Web Communications Team manages the functionality of, training for, and access to all www.pdx.edu sites. This is specific to sites with "www." in the URL; other PSU sites such as the library site (library.pdx.edu), web.pdx.edu sites, and PSU's Google Sites are managed outside our team. You can reach out to the OIT for questions on other PSU sites.

If you have concerns regarding content on a particular www.pdx.edu site, we recommend using the contact information on that site to express those concerns. The Web Communications Team does not manage the content on any particular site; that is the responsibility of the resource the site represents.

New site requests

We are currently working through the workflow process for new site requests to ensure a streamlined process for everyone involved. We appreciate your patience during this time. Keep checking back, though; we will update this page when the new site request process is finalized.

USER TRAINING

Each new user needs to go through training before getting access to a site. Training is in two parts: Digital Accessibility Basics and Enterprise CMS Training. They are both available through D2L, so new users can complete training based on their own availability.

To add a new user, a site owner or another responsible party needs to submit a request to add a new user. This adds that person to the training pipeline; they will receive an email when added to the first set of training.

It is a manual process to add users to each training module, so it can sometimes take a few days to a week to be added to a course.

Get Site Support

For questions that go beyond what can be answered by the user support materials, you can submit a support request. These are for questions specific to your www.pdx.edu site.

Submit an accessibility support request to get assistance and support on making your site and other digital resources (such as PDFs) accessible to users with disabilities.

You can also schedule a meeting with the Web Communications Trainer for technical questions about how to use the backend of pdx.edu to update and manage your site. You can also use this meeting for consultations on best practices for your site. Schedule a 1:1 meeting with the Web Communications Trainer.
