Biography: I grew up in Portland and Houston so every once in a great while you will hear me say "ya'll". As a first-gen college student, I know how challenging it can be to navigate higher education. It is one of the main reasons I continue to work in programs that support underrepresented students for the past 25 years.

Biography: I was born in Oregon and grew up in Woodburn. As a first generation college student, I was inspired by my TRIO mentors and have committed to support and advocate for students as they navigate their undergraduate experience.

Education: Bachelor of Arts in Criminology and Criminal Justice from Portland State University and Masters of Science in Educational, Leadership and Policy with focus in Student Services from Portland State University. 

Biography: I was born in Los Angeles, California. However, I grew up in NE Portland, Oregon. As a first generation student/college graduate, I understand the challenges that students face as they are entering and navigating the university. Because of this, I know of the importance that mentors and advisors have on the educational experience. I was inspired by folks in the Multi-retention Student Services and TRIO Student Support Services to commit and support students who are pursuing higher education.

Biography: I grew up in several regions in both Southern and Northern California. As a first-generation scholar and graduate, Portland State's TRIO Student Support Services program created a community where I could thrive, I am honored to be a part of the team that saw me through to the finish line.

Biography: I was born and raised in Inglewood, CA! I recently moved to Portland and absolutely love it. My life's passion is working with BIPOC students and families. During my undergrad I was in similar programs like TRIO and I know the immense impact that it has on first-gen students like myself. I enjoy creating meaningful relationships, creating community, and finding the little joys in life.
