Service description
Cognos, available at cognos.pdx.edu, is a reporting software and data warehouse solution used for reporting, strategic decision making, and historical data preservation. The data warehouse is updated nightly with Banner student, finance, and payroll information, as well as information from other enterprise systems. This service requires a VPN connection when connecting from off campus.
Service details
Three levels of access are available in Cognos: Campus, General, and Student. All PSU employees have Campus access. Only those with General or Student access are able to view reports containing personally identifiable employee or student data.
To request General or Student access, complete an OAM Access Request for Cognos in the Odin Account Manager at oam.pdx.edu. For instructions, visit the Cognos overview article in the Help Center.
