A New Way to Print is Coming!

Starting this summer, students will have a new way to print on campus that is easier and more accessible! OIT has been working with Wēpa (pronounced "wee-pah"), to bring a new student printing system to campus. Wēpa is a cloud-based printing solution that students can use to print documents from their devices and release at printer kiosks around campus.

What's New?

The current student printing system is aging and missing a lot of modern features. After extensive research and campus outreach, Wēpa was selected and offers:

  • More locations/access
  • Easy to use
  • Mobile-ready
  • Print from Cloud (Google)
  • Less complexity
  • Better reliability

How Does it Work?

At the start of each academic year, students will receive an annual print allowance equivalent to 200 black and white pages for use at Wēpa kiosks across campus. The annual print allowance resets each academic year, two weeks prior to the first day of Fall term.

To access Wēpa, students start by downloading the Wēpa Print Software to a phone or laptop or anywhere you can access https://wepanow.com/login/pdx. Students can also connect Google Drive and other cloud storage accounts to their Wēpa account to enable printing directly from their PSU Google account.
