The Office of Information Technology (OIT) will upgrade managed endpoints currently running earlier versions of Microsoft Office to version 2024. After October 2026, Microsoft will no longer support Microsoft Office 2021. Using unpatched software poses a significant security risk, which is why we are proactively upgrading Office on PSU computers.
The automatic upgrade will begin on June 29, 2026, and is expected to be completed by July 10, 2026. However, we highly recommend that you upgrade at any time before these dates by using Self-Service Software.
