In support of PSU’s response to digital accessibility, the Office of Information Technology (OIT) and the Office of Academic Innovation (OAI) have partnered to make Grackle Workspace available to the PSU community. Grackle is a Google Workspace extension that can be used to check and improve the accessibility of Google Docs, Google Slides, and Google Sheets.
Digital Accessibility is a shared responsibility across the organization, and all PSU employees must design and deliver digital resources that are accessible to the PSU community. A great starting place is PSU’s digital accessibility training and support resources.
Once you have the basics down, you can use the Grackle Workspace extension in Google Docs, Google Slides, and/or Google Sheets to check and improve the accessibility of your file. Grackle will flag accessibility errors in your file to alert you to what needs to be fixed.
