PSU offers programs for students in kindergarten through high school to introduce STEM education and build your skills and learn about careers and opportunities before entering college. These programs will prepare you to enter college and immediately immerse yourself in the ideal program for your career goals and help you stay on track and graduate as early as possible.

Portland Metro STEM Partnership

Portland Metro STEM Partnership (PMSP) is a regional cross-sector collaboration with a shared goal of transforming STEM education for PK-12 students and beyond.

CyberPDX

CyberPDX is a free 5-day residential summer STEAM camp at Portland State University designed to introduce Native American and Indigenous high school students to cybersecurity skills, principles, policies, and careers through an interactive STEAM curriculum and career exposure. No prior experience needed. Submit this interest form to get more information about enrolling in the camp for summer 2026.

STEM Day at PSU

STEM Exploration Day at PSU is a collaboration between the PSU College of Liberal Arts and Science, Maseeh College of Engineering & Computer Science, and OHSU-PSU School of Public Health hosted each year in fall term. This is a great opportunity to learn about the STEM majors that PSU offers and to have a fun and interactive experience on campus. Whether you're interested in health careers, science, technology, engineering or haven't decided yet, this is the perfect event to learn more about STEM at PSU through tours, hands-on activities, and networking with STEM students and faculty. This event is FREE and designed for students in grades 9-12 but parents and prospective transfer students are also invited.

Maseeh College of Engineering and Computer Science Prospective Transfer Student Day | Friday, Feb. 28th, 2025

All engineering and computer science students who are interested in or planning to transfer from a community college to Portland State University's Maseeh College of Engineering and Computer Science are invited. This event is hosted every year during winter term for prospective engineering and computer science students who are interested in or planning to transfer from a community college to Portland State. Students get the opportunity to network with PSU faculty and current students, hear from current transfer students, and get more information about PSU's internship program at the Maseeh College of Engineering and Computer Science.
