SAGE: the Commission on Sexuality and Gender Equity

Vision

SAGE, the Commission on Sexual and Gender Equity at Portland State University, envisions a campus environment where all sexual and gender identities and expressions are celebrated, supported, and fully and equitably included in all aspects of campus life.

Mission

SAGE provides leadership and advocacy as the initiative-based action team for the inclusion of underrepresented sexual and gender identities and expressions at Portland State University. SAGE has supported numerous projects since 1994 including campus climate surveys, creating the Name Override option for trans students, co-creating a Senate Bill to expand demographic records to include gender and sexuality at Oregon universities.
