Shawn Duffy has worked in the Data industry for over 24 years, combining his MBA and Data Analysis skill sets with his experience managing large implementation projects to provide value to his clients. Additionally, he has translated his practical experience into Data & Analytics curriculums for Portland State University’s School of Business & Center for Executive and Professional Education. Shawn earned a BS in Business Administration from Regis University and an MBA from Portland State University.
As a Data & Analytics Leader, Shawn has experience managing Data Engineering & Business Intelligence Consulting organizations, including staff development, creating service offerings driven by market demand, managing and tracking sales/pre-sales efforts, project scoping, contract writing, & client/project leadership. Additionally, he has been responsible for and managed Finance & Operations areas including Financial Planning & Analysis, Payroll/Bonus Derivation, Customer Invoicing, Corporate Taxes, Corporate Insurance, 401k Trustee, Office/Cloud based back-office Networking, Employee Onboarding/Off Boarding, Employee Hardware Procurement, and Setup, & Employee Benefits. When not geeking out over data, he enjoys spending time with his wife, two children, and two dogs. He can be found wandering around golf courses looking for his golf ball, enjoying his kids' sports/activities, and when left alone for too long making his own beer and cider.
