Abby Chroman (she/her)
Oregon Solutions Project Manager | achroman@pdx.edu | (503) 277-1259
Throughout her career, Abby Chroman has sought opportunities to support practical and creative solutions to complex social and environmental issues.
Early on, Abby worked with Ashoka, a leading international organization in the field of social entrepreneurship, where she engaged with hundreds of innovators who were facilitating new ideas for positive change in their communities. Learning about the tools and capabilities that led those social entrepreneurs to create lasting impacts, Abby went on to help build social entrepreneurship opportunities in higher education, including programs and initiatives at Portland State University (PSU).
While leading social entrepreneurship initiatives at PSU, Abby completed a Master’s Degree in Conflict Resolution, with a specialization in Collaborative Governance. In this work, Abby found another space to help generate collaborative, creative, and lasting solutions. She formed a small business to practice mediation and conflict resolution in workplaces, and collected skills, like systems thinking and foresight strategy, to support both social innovation and conflict resolution. Abby joins Oregon Solutions with an enthusiasm to bring methods from across disciplines to local and regional solutions, alongside her talented colleagues.
