Tahani Osman (she, hers) is a student affairs professional who received her Bachelor of Arts in English Literature with a minor in International Studies from the University of Alabama at Birmingham in 2018 and her Master of Art in Higher Education Administration from the University of Alabama in 2022. 

Tahani’s student affairs journey began as a diversity peer educator and administrative intern for the Office of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion and the Student Multicultural Diversity Programs department while attending UAB. She has served in various functional areas such as Multicultural Student Programs and Services and Orientation Programs, Housing and Residential Life Programs, Graduate and Professional Student Programs and Services, International Student Programs and Services, and First-Year Experience. 

Tahani has been affiliated with the American College Personnel Association (ACPA) for two years with membership in the state of Alabama. She serves on the board as the Graduate Chair for the ACPA Alabama chapter. Tahani currently works at Portland State University as the Coordinator of Black Student Services in the Multicultural Retention Services (MRS) office. Tahani aims to help align and integrate new and existing initiatives that center minoritized students and support their success. 

A few fun facts about Tahani are that she worked at Apple for four years, met Apple’s CEO, Tim Cook, has lived in three different countries outside of the United States, and enjoys rewatching the greatest show ever created, ATLA!
