Undergraduate Thesis
Economics majors may pursue either University or Departmental Honors by writing a senior thesis. Examples of past submissions can be viewed on PDXScholar's Economics Undergraduate Honors. Economics majors at any stage of their education are welcome to apply for University Honors. Departmental honors students are supervised by the Undergraduate Committee Chair, Dr. Sarah Tinkler. Dr. Tinkler can also help with advising students on how to approach a faculty mentor with a thesis idea.She can be reached by email at tinkler@pdx.edu.
Research Opportunities
From time to time, opportunities to conduct research are publicized on the Economics Department's Google group. Students are also advised to contact faculty members working in areas of interest.
