Affinity Groups

Grouping the photographs of people interacting online

The Disability Resource Center is hosting student-led affinity groups to highlight and affirm the diverse lived experiences of the PSU community. You do not have to be registered with the DRC or have a disability to participate, but the groups center and create space for disabled students to learn from and build community together.

Affinity groups cover a range of topics including mental health, neurodiversity and ADHD, queerness, and the broader disability community. A graduate student group is in the works, as is a collaboration with the Cultural Resource Center to create a space catered to BIPOC students.

This program is for disabled students, by disabled students, so it can become what members want it to be. To join a group (or groups!) fill out this form (make sure you're logged into your browser with your PSU username). For accessibility, most meetings will take place via Zoom at times decided by the membership of each group.

If you have questions or want to learn more, please contact the DRC Student Engagement Interns Hanna Kane hkane@pdx.edu and/or Sararosa Davies sararosa@pdx.edu.
