Spring people
  1. Miriam Abelson, Women, Gender, and Sexuality Studies faculty, has received the 2023 Dean S. Dorn Distinguished Contributions to Teaching Award from the Pacific Sociological Association.
  2. Jola Ajibade, Geography faculty, spoke on a panel “Challenges and Opportunities Related to Climate-Induced Human Mobility and Migration” on March 24 at the American Association of Geographers Conference. 
  3. Jola Ajibade, Geography faculty, spoke on a panel “Understanding Adaptation as Labor: Implications for Critical Climate Research” on March 25 at the American Association of Geographers Conference. 
  4. Kathi Inman Berens, English faculty, led a workshop “Using the Electronic Literature Collection Volume 4 in the Classroom” at the Digital Ethnic Futures Consortium on March 13 at Dartmouth College. 
  5. Jon Fink, Director of the PSU Digital City Testbed Center, is moderating a panel called “The Opportunities of Wildfire Mitigation” at the Aerial Firefighting Series: Pacific Northwest Wildfire Conference and Exhibition.
  6. Marie Lo, English faculty published “The Philippine Craftsman: Empire, Education, and the 1915 Panama-Pacific Exposition” in The Journal of Modern Craft.
