Campus Steam & Chilled Water Loop Phase II

Campus Loop Phase II created a continuous steam and chilled water loop throughout the Park Blocks with the addition of tunnels connecting Millar Library to Science Building 2 and Shattuck Hall.  Steam and chilled water are used to heat and cool our large campus buildings.  This “loop” will result in considerable operational, maintenance and energy savings by consolidating boilers and chillers in central plants and enables the University’s most energy efficient equipment to be shared with multiple buildings.
