  1. Heather Burns, educational leadership and policy faculty, published “Fostering Resiliency and Care: Integrating Self-Compassion Into a Graduate Course” in the Journal of Contemplative Inquiry.
  2. Paula Carder, OHSU-PSU School of Public Health and Institute on Aging faculty, and Aliza Tuttle, Regional Research Institute, co-authored “Walking and Talking: Recommendations for Doing Mobile Interviews with Older Adults” in the Journal of Aging and Environment.
  3. Paula Carder, OHSU-PSU School of Public Health and Institute on Aging faculty, and Keren Brown Wilson ’83, PSU Foundation Board of Trustees, co-authored “The Imperative to Reimagine Assisted Living” in the journal JAMDA. 
  4. Leslie Hammer, Tori Crain, Cynthia Mohr, and Todd Bodner, psychology faculty, Jacquelyn Brady PhD ’19 and Krista Brockwood PhD ’02 published, “The Effects of a Total Worker Health Leadership Intervention on Employee Job and Personal Well Being,” in the Journal of Occupational Health Psychology. 
  5. Tom Hastings, conflict resolution faculty, wrote a column called “My Take: There’s a Difference Between a Leader and a Country” in several newspapers across the U.S. on Feb. 3 and 4.
  6. Ray Johnson, accounting faculty emeritus, published the second edition of his book “Auditing: A Practical Approach with Data Analytics,” published by Wiley. 
  7. Kacy McKinney, urban studies and planning, had artwork from her project “Changing the Narrative: Stories of Student Homelessness and Housing Instability” exhibited at The Downstairs Gallery through Feb. 13 and at the PSU Native American Student and Community Center through Feb. 28.
  8. Timm Menke, world languages and literatures faculty emeritus, wrote “Arno Schmidt and Martin Walser: An Intricate Relationship,” published in January.
  9. Cynthia Mohr, psychology faculty, and Sarah Arpin ’15, co-authored with Jussi Tanskanen, “Do Loneliness and Social Isolation Predict Mortality Because of Hazardous Drinking?” in the Journal of Social and Clinical Psychology.  
  10. David Peterson del Mar, history faculty, and Aline Alvarez, graduate student, co-authored a chapter called “Transforming Ordinary Spaces into Hopeful Spaces” in the book, “Global South Scholars in the Western Academy: Harnessing Unique Experiences, Knowledges, and Positionality in the Third Space,” published by Routledge.
  11. Ken Ruoff, history faculty, published an op-ed called “Endless Delay? When Shall the Parliament Undertake Necessary Reforms of the Imperial House?” on Feb. 9 in the Japanese newspaper The Tokyo Shimbun.
