Janet Johnson’s expertise helps companies harness the power of new technologies to engage in more meaningful – and profitable – relationships with consumers. Finding the nexus among markets, brands, and business, Janet is a 25-year practitioner in integrated marketing – in its truest sense. Janet pioneered social media techniques when it was only a blip on most marketers’ radar screens. In 2004, she launched the groundbreaking “Paybloggers” program for Marqui, which resulted in press coverage by more than 200 magazines and news organizations; put Marqui on the social media “innovator” map; and spawned a speaking tour aligning Marqui with emerging “white hat” social media influencer marketing ethics, transparency and authenticity. 

Janet has deep experience in marketing both B2B and B2C brands. She has held key marketing, sales, and business development leadership positions with top technology companies including Apple, Enron, Now Software, and Serena Software. Her past five years have been focused on innovation in public education, serving as Chief Growth Officer for Charter School Capital, a financial services, real estate, and enrollment marketing services firm, where she was also the creator, chief strategist, and GM of the successful enrollment marketing line of business. 

Janet has also worked with retail companies, ad agencies, and other consumer businesses including Hanne Andersson, Sur la Table, Hickory Farms, Redbox, Dreambox Learning, K12, J Walter Thompson, and The Inter-American Development Bank, providing social, mobile, and local media strategies, training, marketing strategies, platforms, people and program support. Janet’s focus results in the tight integration of marketing programs, lead generation, and sales’ success. Her understanding of effective lead generation vehicles helped one B2B client build an 1150% increase in leads in one year, helping the organization exceed sales goals.
