An Interdisciplinary Exploration of the Black Experience

Our Black Studies program provides comprehensive learning programs aimed at a greater understanding of the historical and contemporary experiences of people in Africa and African-descended people across the Americas, the Caribbean, Oceania, Asia, and Europe.  Students are encouraged to select among a wide range of courses that will help prepare them for future career goals and or academic pursuits. Our courses focus on history, culture, anthropology, social status, gender, education, film, music, and more.
