Applied Linguistics major Phoebe Cordova selected as McNair Scholar

Phoebe Cordova, a senior majoring in Applied Linguistics and minoring in Spanish was recently selected as a McNair Scholar for the winter, spring, and summer terms of 2021. McNair Scholars attend research seminars for two terms of their award and complete a research project in the summer.
The PSU McNair Scholars Program works with selected first-generation, low-income, and underrepresented undergraduates who want to pursue PhDs. McNair scholars conduct research under the supervision of faculty mentors and create effective strategies for getting into and graduating from doctoral programs.
