The Accelerator is home to several companies created by PSU professors, including DesignMedix (Professor David Peyton) and APDM (Professor James McNames).
Staff works closely with PSU's Innovation and Intellectual Property team to ensure that the path to commercialization is as smooth as possible for PSU faculty who choose that path.
Business and lab facilities in a community of burgeoning entrepreneurs create the climate to fuel commercialization and growth.
In addition, the Accelerator offers PSU faculty dynamic, real-world learning opportunities for hundreds of undergraduate and graduate PSU students. Student teams have completed Capstone projects (typically in business or engineering) with Accelerator startup companies, developing everything from software to go-to-market strategies for new products.
